2024, Multiplayer Game



“Captain a boat, catch some fish, bash together a boat design from dozens of items, and battle your way to the enemy docks. Then jump into another match and try a new build. Bota is a toy scale strategy game that is easy to learn, playable in the browser, and a delight for the eyes and ears”

What started as a lockdown prototype between Laurenz Riklin and I expanded into something more ambitious. Inspired by the Warcraft III mod "Battleships", BOTA simplifies the intricacies the MOBA genre for the browser. This design is reflected in the cartoon art style, and Corey Bertelsen's delightful sound design.
